We are Green & We are Lean

The collision repair industry has changed a lot in the last 40 years and when it comes to environmental stewardship, Hampden Auto Body is on the leading edge of technology.  As we like to say “We Are Green & We Are Lean”.  This motto speaks to our commitment to using lean business practices that reduce our waste and environmental impact.  We know the work is never done when it comes to going green, but we are proud to be taking swift steps in the right direction.

Here are just a few things we’re doing to lead our Denver auto body industry in going green: 

• We order a majority of parts and supplies through local businesses to help reduce our carbon footprint
• We recycle sheet metal, headlamps, bumpers, paper, plastic, cardboard, aluminum and any other material used in repairing your vehicle
• We properly dispose of tires
• We utilize used, aftermarket, and remanufactured parts at request and availability
• Our auto body technicians are trained to utilize environmentally conscious materials such as waterborne automotive paints. These types of paints are less toxic, reduce the emission of VOCs and improve air quality
• We recycle paint materials and solvents through the use of our solvent minimizer, which allows us to save costly hazardous waste from entering the environment
• We operate with paperless office procedures - scanning all documents and backing up all data off-site to eliminate the need for most document printing
• We have LED lighting installed throughout our entire building
